Happy Valentino's Day.

And no, I didn't misspell "Valentine's".

With the 1st of February being right around the corner, men are desperately trying to make last-minute reservations at their girlfriends' favorite restaurants, while women everywhere are using these next couple weeks searching for the classiest or trashiest lingerie they can find- whether it be from Agent Provocateur, La Perla, Victoria's Secret, or God forbid- Frederick's of Hollywood.

For me, I don't care about a candle-lit dinner at a fancy restaurant, rose petals leading up to my room, a bouquet of flowers, or a heart-shaped box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. What I really want for this Valentine's Day is not a man or jewelry (although I would take either), I want Valentino's light rose colored mini leather studded shoulder bag. Priced at $1,795, it's worth more than most Valentine's Day gifts that will be exchanged on the 14th.

Let's be honest- this beautiful piece of art will last longer than any man you know. It won't ask of your whereabouts, it won't cheat on you, it won't ask you to make you a sandwich. Like a needy boyfriend, though, it will cling to you... but who's complaining?

Please tell me I'm not the only one to do unspeakable things for this. I'm dying.

Mara Hoffman Swimwear

Cabo is less than a month away and I have not done any shopping for the 5 days of paradise, besides purchasing a floppy straw hat. I have about 17 bikinis but none worthy for all the memories that will be made. I am over the typical bathing suits from surfshops and Victoria's Secret but am unsure of where else to look. More than anything, I wish I could call a few bikinis from Mara Hoffman my own, but unfortunately, the price of one suit is 1/3 of the price of my Cabo trip.

Gorgeous. I can't deal.

Sass & Bide Seekerstate AW 2012

Like seriously?! Looking through Sass & Bide's new autumn/winter collection makes me want to sell my eggs for thousands of dollars so I can buy a few of these pieces. I just love the metallics, which can really make dressing up for this God-forsaken weather actually fun.

I need those shorts NOW.

I wouldn't mind having this rainy, cold weather if it meant
I got to wear this jacket everyday. LOVE.

When I first saw this sweater, I didn't take a second look.
After going through the collection another time,
I noticed the detail at the cuff. Wantttt.

Just so pretty.

I don't know where the hell I'd wear this, but I like it.

Give it to me.

Cabo San Lucas on the mind...

A couple weeks ago, me and a few girlfriends booked our flight and hotel for CABO SAN LUCAS for Spring Break. Not only have I been meaning to get a decent bod in preparation for this (which I have been completely failing at), but I realize that just as important as looking great unclothed, I need to look just as good wearing clothes. Clear, crystal beaches. Drinking poolside next to the swim-up bar. Fine, beige sand. Dirty mexican bars. Squid Roe. Cloudless, blue skies. All these are future photo-ops that will result in hundreds of pictures being posted in Facebook that thousands will see. If my bikini body isn't up to par, I would hope my outfits would be! Browsing through Planet Blue's Ready, Set, Gypset January 2012 lookbook, I couldn't help imagining myself lounging in these pieces on the beaches of Mexico at the end of February... double-fisting with large margaritas in each manicured hand.

I'm not one for bright colors, but these pieces are so easy and effortlessly beautiful, it's enough for me to change my color palette in my neutral-based closet. The prints and colors would be so perfect for somewhere as tropical and sunny as Cabo. If only I had a penny for every time I said I'd work out and didn't for this upcoming vacation... these would already be packed away in my suitcase.

New Year's Eve

I know this post is a bit late and it's way past the appropriate time to talk about New Year's Eve... but I forgot how post-worthy the outfits, but more importantly, the shoes, that my best friends and I wore on the last holiday of the year were.

1. My outfit: Lace & mesh dress from a random boutique on Melrose Ave., wrap-around neon chain bracelet from Urban Outifitters, turquoise studded bracelet from Forever 21, leather cuff with rhinestones from Foreign Exchange, & gold glitter Jeffrey Campbell litas.
2: Sam's outfit: Navy lace long-sleeved dress with keyhole back from Foreign Exchange, 2 gold rings, gold cuff with marble stone from Wasteland, pewter glitter Jeffrey Campbell litas.
3. Miranda's outfit: Silence + Noise black velvet shirt dress, royal blue bandeau top from Foreign Exchange, multi glitter belt from Forever 21, heavy silver chain bracelet, black Michael Kors watch, multi glitter Jeffrey Campbell litas.
4. Gold, Pewter,  & Multi Jeffrey Campbell Litas.

Yes, I am aware these pictures look like we are borderline obsessed. Either way, I just would like to point out how glitter and sequins were so last year, so New Year's 2011-- on your body anyway. Glitter on your feet is more understated and less obvious, but makes just as big of an impact.

Did I mention we made pimp cups? I know it's sooo high school, but the red solo cups were just not going to cut it this year.

Happy New Year! :)
